Picture shows the raised print title page from William Shakespeare, Merchant of Venice. Philadelphia: N. B. Kneass, 1870. Text, in embossed capital Roman letters, reads:  Merchant of Venice : A Comedy by William Shakespeare. Printed for the Blind in the Improved, Combined Letter. This is the First Entire Play of the Author Ever Published in the Raised Letter. The imprint in capital and lower case letters reads: Philadelphia: Napoleon B. Kneass Jr., Publisher and Printer for the Blind,1870. A rectangular-shaped border comprised of “X”s and “=“s surrounds the text. “Susie Linch Whelan” handwritten in black ink is inscribed along the upper edge of the page.
